A first (real) New Wave show

"Mongoloid", by Devo, to open this new chapter of Amnesia - Chapter 3 of the third Volume of our adventures - which, as announced last week by the song "Jocko Homo" (by Devo too) will be realized in collaboration with professor Shutup, from the Wavelength site (please, see link) and devoted to the too unknown New Wave (in the strict sense of the word this time, the 70's one, the original New Wave actually). And this before talking about new Pop next week and (finally! .. some will say)  doing the distinction between the two concepts.

But above all, please understand well: this is not to force a particular song or band to get into a particular category, but to discuss about music and to share our passion for currents or movements of this period, a period too often criticized cause too often ignored.
New Wave refers to a musical movement appeared in the late 70's under the leadership and parallel to punk with which it shares, for example, the desire to overthrow the dominant musical culture of the time but using, to do this, other roads, and by ways moving away from the tourist trail often ... borrowed. Malcom McLarren himself proposed the word as a synonyme of  the English punk from 76 and a few months later, Caroline Coon, from The Melody Maker, used it to describe a similar aesthetic to punk, but that can be distinguished from the last movement.
The playlist is just above.
