Around Ian Curtis and Joy Division

«Ceremony», par New Order, pour ouvrir ce nouveau chapitre d’Amnesia, chapitre n°30 consacré, comme annoncé la semaine dernière par leur titre « Komakino »,  à Joy Division. A l’origine, ce titre fut mis gratuitement en avril 80 à la disposition du public par la Factory sous la forme d’un flexi-disc contenant deux autres titres enregistrés lors de la préparation de « Closer », mais ne devant pas figurer sur l’album. Il a été depuis publié sur la compilation « Substance ». Ce dernier chapitre d’Amnesia du joli mois de mai sera surtout, à vrai dire, l’occasion de rendre hommage à Ian Curtis.

La playlist de cette émission sera donc constituée de titres composés par Joy Division et repris par d’autres formations ou artistes, et ce afin de montrer toute l’influence qu’a eu ce   groupe majeur. Une pierre angulaire en fait...

"Ceremony" by New Order, to open this new chapter of Amnesia, chapter No. 30 devoted, as announced last week by their song "Komakino" to Joy Division. Originally, this song was place  free (in April 80) to the public's disposal by the Factory as a flexi-disc containing two tracks recorded during the preparation of "Closer", but which should not be on the album. It has since been released on the compilation "Substance". Of course, this show will also be the opportunity to pay tribute to Ian Curtis...

So, the playlist will consist of songs recorded ​​by Joy Division and covered by other artists or bands, in order to show all the influence of this amazing combo.
