A first xmas gift for 2013

"Il Est Ne Le Divin Enfant" par Siouxsie and the Banshees (morceau enregistré à l’occasion de fêtes de fin d’année pour une émission « Les Enfants du rock » diffusée à l’époque, 1982,  sur une chaîne de télévision française, d’où le fait que la Sioux s’exprime pour l’occasion, donc, dans la langue de Molière), "Il Est Ne Le Divin Enfant", donc, pour ouvrir ce nouveau chapitre d’Amnesia, Chapitre n°12 du Troisième Tome de l’émission qui sera consacré au rôle joué par Jésus dans la musique postpunk… tout un programme. 

Ce programme d’ailleurs débutera vraiment par la mise en garde suivante, "This Is Heresy" par Christian Death, et ce histoire de prévenir les auditeurs non avertis de ce que j’ai bien conscience de ce que je propose et du décalage entre le caractère sacré de la célébration de la naissance du Christ et mon propos qui, lui, ne l’est en rien…. sacré.

Pour les curieux, les hérétiques et les amateurs de Ausgang, Eraas, Bauhaus, White Lord Jesus, Jesus and Mary Chain et autres... joyeux Noêl!!!!

"Il est né le divin enfant" by Siouxsie and the Banshees (song recorded on Christmas' occasion for a French TV program " The Children of rock ' broadcasted in 1982,  hence the fact that the Sioux speaks in the language of Molière and not the one of Shakespeare) , Il est né le divin enfant" - so - to open this new chapter of Amnesia , Chapter n°12 of the third season of the show,  devoted to the role of Jesus in the postpunk music ... such a program .

This program also really begins with the following warning , "This Is Heresy " by Christian Death , in order to prevent unsuspecting listeners that I am aware of what I am proposing and of the gap between the sacred character of the celebration of the birth of Christ and  my remarks, which are  asolutly not .... sacred. You will know...

For the curious, heretics and other fans of Ausgang , Eraas , Bauhaus , White Lord Jesus, Jesus and Mary Chain and more ... Merry Xmas!!!!

A first deathrock show

"This is Heresy" par Christian Death pour ouvrir ce nouveau chapitre d’Amnesia, chapitre    n°22 consacré, comme annoncé sur le dernier post au Deathrock.

Mais tout d'abord, entendons nous bien: il ne s’agira pas ici - de la même manière que lors de la première émission consacrée à la musique gothique- de proposer une énième définition du genre (d’autres s’y sont essayés et l‘on s’étripe là aussi suffisamment joyeusement sur différents forums à ce sujet sans que je vienne y mettre mon grain de sel), mais plutôt de répertorier, à l’écoute de certains  groupes ou titres, à mon avis emblématiques du genre, ce qui peut en constituer les principales caractéristiques.
D’où Christian Death en ouverture, la majorité des critiques considérant que c’est avec ce groupe et la sortie de leur album « Only Theatre of Pain « en 82 que le Deatrock a commencé à être défini en tant que courant musical à part entière. De fait, le groupe de Rozz Williams a exercé une influence prépondérante sur la grande majorité des formations liées à ce mouvement, comme vous le prouvera sans doute la playlist (toujours aussi grandiose, hehehe....) de cette émission (toujours aussi modeste et toujours aussi géniale, re-heheheh...).

"This is Heresy" by Christian Death to open this new chapter of Amnesia, Chapter No. 22 devoted, as announced on the last post to the Deathrock music.

But, let's be clear at first: it will not be suggested here - in the same way that in the first  show devoted to the gothic music- another definition of the genre (other tried and people desagree - and sometimes make mincemeat- on various forums about it, so no use for me to come and put in my ten cent's worth...), but i will rather list, listening to some bands or titles, in my opinion emblematic of the genre, which may constitute its main features.

Hence Christian Death in opening, most critics considering that it is with this band and especially with the release of their album "Only Theatre of Pain" in 82 that the Deathrock music began to be defined as such . In fact, the band of Rozz Williams was of big influence for the majority of others related to this movement, as will probably proove you the Playlist (still a great one, hehehe ....) of this (still modest and still amazing, hehehe once again...) show.

«Electra Descending», par Christian Death pour ouvrir ce nouveau chapitre d’Amnesia, chapitre n° 17 consacré, comme annoncé la  semaine dernière par Pink Industry à *my birthday party….. heu…. non ! pas au groupe de Nick Cave, mais à votre serviteur,  l’émission étant en fait diffusée à l’occasion de mon anniversaire!

Une playlist pour le moins hétéroclite, donc, et fort peu de blablah ce soir, mais nombre de mes morceaux préférés, morceaux que je n’aurai pas eu l’occasion (ou presque...) de vous proposer pour l’instant puisque n’entrant pas dans telle ou telle thématique. "Electra Descending" by Christian Death to open this new chapter of Amnesia, Chapter No. 17 devoted, as announced last week by Pink Industry to * my birthday party ..... uh .... no! not to the band of Nick Cave, but to your servant, as the show  is boradcasted at the occasion of my birthday!

A playlist very heterogeneous, therefore, and very little blablah tonight, but many of my favorite songs, songs that I have not had the opportunity to offer you until now because they didn't fit the themes. However, each title listened to will be also the occasion to give you some informations about groups or artists.
