Back to the Furur (part two)

Salut à toi, ô auditeur sachant auditer, et bienvenue dans le meilleur du son des 80’s!

Une petite perle pour débuter cette troisième saison, ce troisième tome de nos aventures:  il s’agit en l’occurrence d’un titre du groupe gothique belge Erato, titre paru sur leur album III en 2002 et intitulé  "Amnesia". 

Ce titre servira pour  de générique pour ce troisième tome votre émission préférée, toujours aussi  sévèrement orientée postpunk, ainsi que la playlist de ce soir vous le fera de nouveau entendre. 

Ce premier chapitre sera en effet à envisager d’une part comme un « résumé des épisodes précédents » et d’autre part comme une introduction à ce à quoi il faudra vous attendre pour la saison à venir.

Hello, O listener, and welcome to the best of the sound of the 80's.

A little jewel to start this third season, this third volume of our adventures: it is a title of the Belgian gothic band Erato, title broadcasted  on their third album III in 2002 and titled "Amnesia".

This title will be used as generic for this third volume of your favorite program, still strictly oriented postpunk as the playlist above will probably show you again.

This first chapter will indeed have to be considered on the one hand as a "summary of previous episodes" and  on the other hand as an introduction to what you will have to wait for the coming year.

A tribute to The Play Dead

"Introduction", soit la face B de leur second 45t "Poison take a hold", paru en 81,  pour ouvrir ce nouveau chapitre d’Amnesia, chapitre n°23 du second tome de nos aventures, qui sera consacré, comme annoncé lors de la dernière émission par leur titre "Shine", au groupe anglais The Play Dead.
Sur les cendres du punk émergea une étrange confusion de diversités musicales permettant l’expression de sentiments qui n’avaient jusque là peu ou pas été mis en lumière ou exploités par l’industrie du disque, l’expression d’une étrange étrangeté propre à l’époque et rendue possible aussi parce que cette époque fut peut-être celle durant laquelle se concentra le plus grand nombre de frustrations imaginable.
La musique fut alors une chambre d’échos extraordinaire à cette frustration, ainsi que la playlist de l'émission de ce soir va encore tenter de vous le prouver.
Cette playlist se poursuivra par le premier enregistrement officiel du groupe, "TV Eye", morceau au titre peut -être prémonitoire...
Il faudra que je pense à vous proposer une émission à propos des bienfaits lobotomisants ou décervelants de la télévision… En attendant, et  venu tout droit d’une époque où les termes de révolte et de rébellion voulaient encore dire quelque chose dans notre pauvre société occidentale et ce de par, essentiellement la dose d’honnêteté caractérisant la pensée à l’origine de cette rébellion,  c'est-à-dire avant  l’hégémonie de l’écran sur la pensée, avant que cette expression de la Rome décadente –"Du pain et des jeux"- retrouve toute sa valeur… voici, venu tout droit du meilleur des années 80, The Play Dead.

"Introduction," B-side of their second single, "Poison take a hold", released in 81, to open this new chapter of Amnesia, chapter No. 23 of the second volume of our adventures, which will be devoted, as announced at the end of the last show with their song "Shine", to the English band The Play Dead.

On the ashes of punk emerged a strange confusion of musical diversity allowing the expression of feelings that hadn't previously been brought to light by the record industry, the expression of a "strange strangeness" that the time made possible also because this time was perhaps the one in which the greatest number of conceivable frustrations was concentrated.

Then the music echoed these frustrations, as the playlist of the show will try to prove to you.

This playlist will be continuing with the band's first official record: "TV Eye". Maybe a premonitory title...

I have to think about offering you a show devoted to the lobotomizing benefits of television ... Meanwhile, and coming straight from a time when the terms of revolt and rebellion still meant something in our poor western society and this essentially  because of the honesty characterizing the thought behind this rebellion, that is to say, before the hegemony of the screen on thought, before this expression of decadent Rome - "Panem et circensem" - finds its value ... here, come straight from the best of the 80s, The Play Dead.
